Dear readers. There will be no posting here for the next couple of days.
I have to go to the hospital for inflammation of my gallbladder. The bladder will be surgically removed this afternoon. If everything goes well, I may be back to posting on Friday. Thanks for your patience.
update: This comes from the hospital computer. I probably won't be back to posting Friday because the operation didn't go through today. Too busy at the hospital and lots of emergencies. The operation will take place tomorrow morning which means I probably have to stay until Saturday. See you then.

A speedy recovery and magnificent health.
How things have changed. My gallbladder was removed surgically 35 years ago - I've still got the 30cm diagonal scar across my stomach to show for it! A week in hospital was followed by 3 weeks at home in those days. All the best for your surgery.

Good luck Gerard, you'll be glad it's removed. No more pain attacks and able to eat everything again. I've had mine removed last February, came home the next day. Walked around like a 80 year old for a couple of days but then it's over. Just take enough rest! Get well soon.

Take all the time you need, Garard, we'll still be here when you get back! My husband had his gall bladder removed a few months ago. It wasn't easy, but now that it's done he is in better shape than ever. Turns out that organ was causing a lot of health problems that are now just memories.
