Hundreds of people came to see this 'strange alien' that has been washed up on a beach in Wales.
In fact these are goose barnacles, also called stalked barnacles or gooseneck barnacles. They are filter-feeding crustaceans that live attached to hard surfaces of rocks and flotsam in the ocean intertidal zone.
