Dead Monster Washes Ashore In Montauk

A mysterious creature washed up on a Long Island beach near New York has led to a frenzy of online speculation. Dubbed the Montauk Monster after the Long Island town where it was found, the creature has prompted speculation it was part of a secret mutant breeding program undertaken by the US Government.

Four government biologists were unable to identify the species of the animal from its photo and they came to the conclusion that no such creature exists, putting forth the possibility that the photo may have been doctored.

At first sight I thought it was my mother in law, but it can't be. The mouth of the creature isn't big enough :-)

It seems obvious that it's part of photoshop...photoshop can create anything.

It's not a sea turtle. Sea turtles' beaks do not have teeth, and the turtle's shell is attached along the spine, and this creature shows no damage to the spine.

omg...anyone who says that's a sea turtle without it's shell is an effing moron. If you remove a shell from a turtle, you'd be pulling it's spine out as well. It would be like taking your back out, starting at the shoulders and going down to your hips. Secondly, look at the tail... It's as long, if not longer than the back legs. Usually a trait found in big cats...not dogs.

Pay attention people, we're about to see this start happening a lot more.

i'm no vet, but this is what I belive it is a mix of...
Bird
Dog
maybe even a pig

The person who made this "monstor" could have been an animal that someone tried to mix.

This is a Baby Griffin , Keep in mind celocanths was believed to be extinct . As for whats being called teeth thats actually part of the beak as it gets older the so called teeth will wear down.

It's a decomposing carcass of a dog or raccoon. The nose is rotted off exposing the bone. The portion that makes it look like a beak is the hole in the front of the skull, know as the nasal cavity... sorry but thunder birds were a legend based around a god. I, myself, am Native American and also study the cultures revolving around my ancestors. The thunder bird was no other than the american eagle. So if you wish to spot a "thunder bird", simply drive to your local zoo and visit the eagle exhibit.
