The Surprising Truth Behind The Construction Of The Great Pyramids

Almost everyone in the scientific world embraces the theory that the pyramids were crafted of carved-out giant limestone blocks that workers carried up ramps.

Professor Michel Barsoum, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA, and colleagues have found scientific evidence that parts of the Great Pyramids of Giza were built using an early form of concrete, debunking an age old myth that they were built using only cut limestone blocks.

This is really an interesting article.

Like so much of what is reported about The Pyramids, I would have a much easier time believing this if numerous academics would begin supporting the theory -- or at least, a refereed journal published the theory. And despite the fact that the scientist in this story is a "distinguished professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University", I need to see some form of acceptance by his peers.

I hope the scientist is right, but until I see more support from his colleagues, this right now fits in the same category as "UFOs built the pyramids". I shall be happy to change my opinion when more support emerges.
