Yea, this is by land mass only. It should be consolation for damaged and insecure Canadian ego's everywhere that it still is the 2nd largest country if they really need to hold on to that but not landmass. It's funny how living in America's shadow your whole life develops this desperate need to feel bigger and more important than we actually are, I know when I saw this I felt a deep pang in my chest as my country got a little smaller :)
