The Tobacco Museum Of Prilep, Macedonia

Tobacco is not very popular right now but the history and the arts which came out of it are still impressive. Ever since it was imported from the New World in the sixteenth century, tobacco has played a starring role in the economy of Prilep.

This humid, low-lying valley town enjoys perfect cultivating conditions, and the high-quality tobacco produced here has long been used in cigarettes sold around the world. Take a visit to the museum found within Prilep's Tobacco Institute.
