One Of The Most Famous Paintings In The White House Has A Huge Spelling Error

It is one of the most iconic paintings of America's first president, George Washington. So iconic, it served as the basis for George Washington's depiction on the one dollar bill. The portrait was commissioned and finished in 1796 and given to the British Prime Minister at the time.

But there's one little problem... The painting has a huge spelling error. There is a 'T' missing in the word 'States.'
