Kruševo is a town in Macedonia and home of the Makedonium. It was officially opened on August 2 of 1974, on the 30th anniversary of the Second Session of the Anti-fascist Assembly for the National Liberation of Macedonia.
The
Makedonium occupies 12 acres and has the shape of a round dome with oval windows. The complex also consists of a plateau with series of sculptures named 'Breaking the Chains,' symbolizing freedom won in the liberation wars.
