If you don't have a guest room, it's always nice to have an alternative space for guests to sleep. Pull-out couch beds are handy, but they aren't the most comfortable couches or beds and they're a nightmare to move since they're so heavy.
Now you can have a guest bed when you have guests and an ottoman when you don't.
