Magnificent Giant Tree: Sequoia In A Snowstorm

The world's second-largest known tree, the President, in Sequoia National Park is photographed by National Geographic magazine photographer Michael Nichols for the December 2012 issue. The final photograph is a mosaic of 126 images.

Very cool. I've stood at the base of this tree and many others in Sequoia National park. Doing so helps you to feel right sized. That is to say, small.

As a hobbiest photographer there seems to be no good way to capture the magnificence of these giants from trunk to top. One simply cannot make it fit in a single frame.
