Rudy Franchi, an appraiser on Antiques Roadshow and a consultant to Heritage Auction Galleries, didn't expect to be impressed after he received a call last year from a college student, who said he had a roll of old posters he was trying to unload.
The posters turned out to be rare Deco-era, Japanese railway posters. They will be auctioned off at the end of this month. Collectors Weekly has story and some stunning pics.
