In a village of blue-eyed and brown-eyed people there are n blue-eyed people. The villagers are forbidden to discuss eye color and no one knows their own eye color but can, of course, see everyone else’s eye color. If anyone were to realize that they have blue eyes then they must leave the village the next day.
One day, along comes a stranger to the village who makes this public statement which everyone hears: 'At least one of you has blue eyes.' What effect does this have on the villagers?
You can find the answer here.

There's a typo in the first sentence: In a village of blue-eyed and brown-eyed people there are n blue-eyed people.
Nevermind, I'm an idiot. You meant "n" as an algebraic term, not "n" as part of a larger word.
they beat the stranger and kick him out of the village. problem solved.
They all say "No shit, Sherlock." Because the story never said there were no mirrors in the village.
