The UCSD Geisel Library had a horrible reputation with Librarians because the climate control was next to nothing and the books baked in the sunlight through the windows despite the UV coating.

The library update that added the underfloor and the "crystal" skylights also added additional climate control throughout the building to help preserve the books.
