Why The Mantis Shrimp Is My New Favorite Animal


Mantis shrimp are marine crustaceans. Mantis shrimp appear in a variety of colours, from shades of browns to bright neon colours. They were called 'sea locusts' by the ancient Assyrians, 'prawn killers' in Australia and sometimes referred to as 'thumb splitters.' Why? Find out.
