Photos Of Very Old, Very Loved Teddy Bears

For his MuchLoved series, photographer Mark Nixon has shot minimalistic portraits of some well-loved stuffed toys and collected their stories. Here are some of those plush friends loved a little too well. Some of them are missing limbs and have their woolen little guts spilling out. That's some lovin' right there.

Aaaah!

I still have my old bear and he looks at lot like those. He's a fair bit older than me (and I'm 46) before he was mine he belonged to my older sister and before that he belonged to a friend of the family. Maybe other's too.

He's almost totally bald, had one wonky (and pretty scary) eye and one arm was sewn back on so it doesn't articulate any more.

Baggy and a bit loose at the seams. But I love him.

You know, they still come alive at night and creep around your room. God's way of protecting you while you are sleeping...
