Huge Filament Eruption On The Sun

Yesterday I posted about solar storms and whether they are dangerous to us. Here's a video of a filament collapsing in a spectacular way on August 31, 2012. Long filaments like this one have been known to collapse with explosive results when they hit the stellar surface below. The segment in the 304 angstroms wavelength covers almost 3 hours.
