Scientists Free Whale Shark From Fishing Net

The whale shark is a slow-moving filter feeding shark and the largest extant fish species. In Indonesia's Cendrawasih Bay, whale sharks often congregate around bagan (lift net) fishing platforms to eat the small silverside baitfish that the fishers are targeting. Sometimes the sharks swim right into the nets and become entangled.

Some of them learned how to eat fish right from the net, just like milk from a bottle.
