Zipper Truck At Work On Presidio Parkway

Presidio Parkway is a roadway tucked into the natural contours of the Presidio of San Francisco and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, one of the largest urban parks. Watch as the barrier transfer machine, known as a 'zipper truck,' adjusts the moveable median barrier.

Don't be too impressed, Brian. They're engineering and maintenance nightmares which break down more often than an emo chick on barbs.

Impressive idea. We could do with some of those for roadworks in the UK rather than putting workers at risk moving traffic cones manually on the motorway.
