PAL-V Flying Car

Dutch company PAL-V announced the first flights of its prototype 'flying car.' This unique vehicle is called the PAL-V One, or the 'Personal Air and Land Vehicle', and it marks the start of a new era. On the ground the vehicle drives like a sports car. Within minutes its rotor is unfolded and its tail is extended: then it is ready to take off thanks to the advanced gyrocopter technology.

We can be ready. One can go to a flying school as mandatory before using this vehicle.

However, what shown in video also resembles a helicopter, so it's more like a helicopter car.

I can't think of a worse idea for mass transit in the future... The general public as a whole cannot handle 2 dimensions when it comes to commuting.

On any given day, I see people BACKING UP on the freeway because they missed an exit and they are apparently too stupid to realize that there is another one in 1/2 mile, I almost get hit by people lane changing into me without looking, I see motorists failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk, and on and on and on...

Give them the 3rd dimension of altitude and it will be utter chaos.

This ridiculous 'flying car' idea for the general public has catastrophe written all over it.

Give up on this stupid pipe dream already.
