Arizona achieved statehood on February 14, 1912. To celebrate this centenary, here is a selection of outstanding photographs of the 48th State of the Union. From the desert climate in its southern half, with its very hot summers and mild winters, to its northern half of pine and plateau. there is always something to astonish in Arizona.
