You've probably heard about the Mythbusters' cannonball faux pas. No one was hurt. But Matt Pressnall, a tech consultant from Seattle, decided to dramatize the course of the cannonball in order get a sense of perspective.
So, armed with Google Maps, Photoshop, and a delicate sense of privacy, he created this map that shows just how far the cannonball traveled in Dublin, California, in its uncontrolled quest for news headlines.

Just more proof that you shoot guns at a gun range, you blow up bombs at a bomb range, and you should shoot cannons at a cannon range.
