The website Thesaurus.com is a dictionary organized to supply alternative words rather than to offer analytical explanations of what words mean. They take their job very seriously.
For example, if you want to know how to spell the word 'banana' go to Thesaurus.com and click on the little loudspeaker. Also try pineapple, octopus, pussycat, carrot, watermelon, cheese, confetti, band aid and antelope.

No no no, it's spelled, "Banana," but it's pronounced, "Throat Warbler Mangrove".
