Steve Michaels is the proprietor of the Hobbit House. One day, he was building a small underground guest home for family and friends when the contractor's son mentioned that it looked like a Hobbit House. From then on, all of his attention and energy has gone into making it a first class Hobbit Abode and Village.
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort. The Hobbit House of Montana is a well appointed hobbit hole of which even Bilbo Baggins would approve.(thanks Cora)
