Jae Rhim Lee is a visual artist, designer, and researcher whose work proposes unorthodox relationships between the mind/body/self and the built and natural environment. The Infinity Mushroom will be a unique strain of fungi that will be trained to decompose bodies and remediate the industrial toxins in bodies. Using mycological tissue culture and growing techniques, Jae Rhim Lee is training fungi to consume her own body tissue and excretions.
The Mushroom Death Suit is basically a fitted organic cotton suit with a crocheted netting on top in a pattern resembling the growth of mushroom mycelium, and the netting is where the Infinity Mushroom spores will initially grow.
