The claim that canola oil is an industrial oil used for lubrication has been thoroughly debunked. See http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/canola.asp

Yawn. According to some report somewhere eating absolutely any food is bad for you. So if you ask any person to make a list of ten foods they think are healthy I bet it wouldn't take long to find "evidence" that those foods are bad for them.

The only logical comclusion you can draw from the food health information available on the internet today is that the only way to stay healthy is to eat nothing.

This is a really poor article, look at the sources in the article - few of support what has been written. The light sandwich one doesn't mention sandwiches, the berry one doesn't talk about fillers, the beans one doesn't mention soda, the Miller fruit source is about Special K© Fruit and Yogurt not yogurt with fruit etc etc.

The margarine one tells you to use marg over butter, not butter over marg. Even if you check the facts for yourself they seem to be untrue the Heinz beans in the pic 20 grams of sugar is not the same as the 39 grams of sugar in an 8oz coca cola. The pic of the subway sandwich shows one with 25 grams of protein ( "Instead of protein or vegetables, what these sandwiches do...")

I don't mean that these foods are not bad for you, but the article is just horrendous. It's full of really broad sweeping statements which are not backed by anything .

Gerard you normally choose very good articles - please be a little more careful

*nods and agrees*

This article is nothing more than a poorly researched piece of junk. Not one of your usually awesome finds.
