StreetFlyer

Fly like a bird without taking off the ground. The StreetFlyer provides its user with the sense of flying just about three feet off the ground and without the dangers associated with hang- or paragliding, for example.

Developed by Dr. Carsten Mehring (a Mechanical Engineering Professor at the Colorado School of Mines), the StreetFlyer is a human-powered light-weight carbon-fiber vehicle allowing its user to transition from running into a horizontal hang-gliding type position facilitated by a body-harness attached to the structure.

This is a belated april fool right?

I font think a couple of feet off the ground will give anybody a sensation of flying. It will give them a sensation of being suspended a couple of feet off the ground. Especially when the wheels are right there in the rider's field of view.

Epic fail.
