The EN-V - Is This The Car Of The Future?

Could the EN-V (Electric-Networked Vehicle) be the car of the future? You can certainly take a second or two as time out to shudder at the prospect of being in one of these wedges between two pickup trucks. However, that aside, the EN-V may well revolutionise the way we travel, particularly in urban areas.

Inspired by the Messerschmitt and BMW microcars of the past.

One thing we should all have learned by now is that any "expert" telling us about the car of the future will be wrong. Take a look back at the predictions made over the years.

These "car of the future" shows remind me of runway fashion shows. They're all visually outrageous, impractical and over the top expensive, but they'll also all have some tiny something in common (use of blue plaid, for example) that'll show up in everything next year on the rack in your neighborhood clothing store.

That said, I'm seeing "curves" and "very shiny" as the next big auto trends.
