Using a combination of computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, scientists Kasper Hansen and Henrik Lauridsen of Aarhus University in Denmark were able to visualize the entire internal organ structures and vascular systems of a Burmese Python digesting a rat.

fascinating photos & very interesting. It never ceases to amaze me how they can just swallow big things whole like that.
on a trail in new mexico's organ mountains, i once found the remains of a rattlesnake and a rat. the rat had a snakebite and the snake had a hole chewed through it's belly.
