Farmers in China have been issuing their cockerels with cool John Lennon-style sunglasses to keep the peace. The experiment, in Chengdu, south west China, has a practical use beyond sending the birds cock-a-hoop.
They were designed to help
avoid fights breaking out between rival roosters at the free range farm, explained farm owners.

Chickens with glasses are old news. I recall chickens wearing specks in Maryland when I had a summer job during college delivering fresh eggs. And that was 45 years ago!
we had chickens when i was a kid - all of the roosters had these. the shields keep the roosters from being able to see straight ahead, so they can't fight.
Hi stranger! Nice to see you are still around ... after how many years now? Hope all is well with you!
Hi Kim. Nice to hear from you. Yes, Bacon and Ehs... the good old times. :) And I'm still around after more than 10 years. Doing fine.
