Around 95 million people watch each match. Of course, not everyone is able to watch the games of their favorite teams on the weekends or after work, so some of them have been sneaking off, calling in sick or otherwise slacking off to watch football.
By the way, my country, the Netherlands, has gone through to the semi finals by beating Brazil.
