The Internet is very good at making things seem really interesting that aren't that interesting in real life. Jaipur, the Pink City, isn't all that lovely. You have to compose your shot just so to make it look the way it does in the linked page.
I swear that town looks just like my 6 year old daughters bedroom. Pink, pink and more pink.
Most of these look tacky to me. Like an eyesore to the surrounding evironment. Something that blends into the naturally beautiful landscape is much more visually appealing (and modern).
