A study of 4,000 consumers in the United Kingdom placed the Apple smart phone - which has sold 42 million units since its launch in 2007 - ahead of the car, camera and flushing toilet.
The top 10 inventions are: 1. Wheel 2. Aeroplane 3. Light bulb 4. Internet 5. PCs 6. Telephone 7. Penicillin 8. iPhone 9. Flushing toilet 10. Combustion engine.

I think I'd put a flushing toilet much higher than #9.
