Hummel

German designer Daniel Kocyba created the Hummel, a light helicopter for two passengers. It can be used for passenger transport, as well as for emergency transports like organs or units of stored blood and of course for conventional tasks of a helicopter like monitoring (e.g. coast guard, police, army, scientists) and to be mobile.

To be moved easily at the ground the Hummel has wheels at its forelegs and can be folded flat. Because of that it doesn't depend on mobile heliports and can safetily be stored. These advantages are shown especially when there is minimal space, like for example on research ships.

It's like a Smartcar.

Nice artwork, but as so often is the case, this is a designer's concept artwork for something not built, nor demonstrated in engineering prototype form.

When I see one being used in the real world, I'll be siutably impressed. Until then, it's just another lego toy.
