You probably brew coffee, like most people, the most insipid way possible: Using a Mr. Coffee that you fill with pre-ground coffee from the supermarket. There's a million other ways to make coffee, and they're all better.
The writer knows squat about making coffee...no mention at all of home roasting (once roasted, beans last maybe two weeks before getting stale). No mention of hand mills. Or using a gold mesh filter in a drip machine (yes, there are some good ones out there). He should visit Sweet Maria's, and maybe he'll learn something.

I read an excellent recipy for coffee in an Lucky Luke comic book once...
You take a pound of moist coffee, heat it for a few hours. than you throw in a horse-shoe.. If that does not float, add some more dry coffee..
