Indian/Pakistani Border Closing Ceremony

The Wagah Border between India and Pakistan closes every evening at 5pm. It's a real spectacle with thousands of people filling up the grandstands on either side to watch the ceremony.

Despite some pretty aggressive facing-off between the two countries, the Pakistani and Indian soldiers always shake hands before the gates are shut.

I laughed at the Monty Python reference.

Isn't it funny how what looks tough and mcho to one set of people looks pretty welll.....gay to others?

I bet our pickup trucks look like that to someone.

I nearly got stomped to death in 1972 while watching a change of guard in East Berlin. Those Soviet/East German guards weren't going to stop because some danged hippie was in their way. One of them looked sad that he didn't get to stomp on me.
