Any man-cub growing up in the UK of the early nineteen seventies had, by sheer species specific need, several (if not hundreds) of imported US comics in their lair.
There, amongst the muscle-growing techniques advertised by bewilderingly middle-aged looking men wearing something approximating the man-cub's mother's girdle, there would be something that could, would and did excite the curiosity of the pre-teen amateur biologist. The
Sea Monkey.

We ordered sea monkeys, and I think they are actually some type of shrimp. I guess it wasn't a total waste of a few dollars as we got our sea monkeys in a small pouch and just water. At least our curiosity was satisfied, but they didn't look anything like they do in the advert.
