Coders have known about the Year 2038 problem for a very long time now--well over a decade. If you consistently use the time_t type in your C/C++ programs, then a simple recompile on a 64-bit system should solve the problem. Some embedded systems and non-C/C++ systems that depend on a 32-bit signed integer, however, -will- have problems.
