Google has updated the 3D buildings in Google Earth for New York City. There are now thousands of new 3D buildings with photo textures applied.
Just fly to 'New York City' and turn on the 3D Buildings layer in Google Earth. Tilt your view so you can see the buildings in all their glory.

And after that then leave the computer for an hour so the Google earth can take the time to load every one of those buildings
Well, you do need a fast computer.
