Today Seven Years Ago

Today is Patriot Day in the USA.

Seven years ago, the single worst act of terrorism was committed on U.S. soil, nearly 3,000 people died when two hijacked jetliners crashed into New York's World Trade Center, causing the twin towers to collapse; a commandeered jetliner smashed into the Pentagon; and a fourth hijacked plane crashed in western Pennsylvania.

Let's never forget.

Wow, seven years ago today I was watching that happen in my sixth grade class.

It seems rather surreal.

Thank you Gerard, for remembering 9-11. Al Queda attacked not just America, but freedom and liberty as well. Today most of the world stands united against terrorism. I wish it had not taken the loss of thousands of lives to bring us together. Thank you for remembering.
