In this video, a metal plate is placed on top of a loud speaker. The sound causes the metal plate to vibrate and the salt moves into the regions of the plate that are not vibrating. As the pitch of the sound is increased, the pattern of lines changes.
Warning: At some point in the video, the sound gets so high that it might hurt your ears. Also, make sure your pets are not around while playing this video.
