U.S. Postal Service Issues 14-Striped Flag Stamp

On April 18, 2008, the United States Postal Service issued a new set of definitive stamps featuring beautiful paintings of an American Flag flying in the breeze. The images, captured at different times of the day show the flag flying at sunrise, at midday, at sunset, and at night.

There will be millions of these stamps issued in the upcoming months and years.
That is, unless the U.S. Postal Service corrects what appears to be an error on one of the stamps.

(thanks Tony)

After the 13 original states they added a star AND a stripe for the next two states. Then they figured it would be too much to keep it up, took off the two stripes, and just added a star for each new state.
