By those standards, the BEST optical illusion would actually be the TV set: here, I have this panel bombarded by electrons in a seemingly random fashion -- and now watch... whoa, you could swear it's an animated image! (And it's not limited to six frames, either.)

Someone did the same thing but incorporated them into business cards - There is a video somewhere. Some of the images were the same.
Now we can have Harry Potter-newspapers with animated photos! Cool. ;)
