Sergey Tyukanov was born May 17, 1955, in Poronaisk, in the Sakhalin Region in Russia. In 1981 he graduated from the Khabarovsk Teacher's Training Institute, Artist Graphic Department and received his Master's Degree. Since then he has lived and worked in Kaliningrad as a free artist.
