Coin Jar Calculator

Most of us have a jar in our house full of loose coins. Ever wonder how much money that jar is worth?

The Coin Jar Calculator will help you figure it out. First, weigh your coin jar. Second, grab a representative handful of coins from the jar and count how many of each coin you got in your handful. For example, my coin jar weighs 22 pounds. I grabbed a handful of 12 pennies, 8 nickels, 8 dimes, 5 quarters, 4 half dollars, and 2 dollar coins.

The Coin Jar Calculator says the total estimated value of my jar of coins is $368.22.

I know for a (Hand counted)fact that a beer pitcher stolen from the local pizza place holds $475.75 in quarters.
