Society In Dedham For Apprehending Horse Thieves

The Society in Dedham for Apprehending Horse Thieves is the oldest continuously existing horse thief apprehending organization in the United States. Since 1810, the Society has enrolled nearly 10,000 members worldwide.

Members have included Popes, most of the recent Presidents of the United States, General George Armstrong Custer, and Raquel Welch (a spontaneous nomination). For a one-time $10 fee, anyone may enroll him- or herself and create an affiliation with an historic organization, and the ancient Town of Dedham, MA.
