Over 20,000 Teddy Bears On The Ice

I don't know if this is a tradition with the Portland Winter Hawks, but their fans threw what was reportedly a world record 20,372 stuffed animals on the ice after what they thought was their team's first goal of the season - a goal which officials later disallowed.

It's a nice and strange tradition.

What do they do to the teddy bears after the game?

Yes, it's a tradition. The teddy bears go to charity.

That is so funny! It looks like some sort of Muppet caper gone wrong!
