Train Runs Through Bangkok Market

You got to see it to believe it.

That's simply amazing. The speed at which they re-assemble the market is pretty astonishing too.

I guess that's what happens when you have to innovate, or have your goods crushed under the wheels.

I've been to Bangkok (all over Thailand actually) and I have no trouble at all believing that it can be this chaotic. Only country that beats Egypt for plain bizarreness of day to day life: Thailand.

The only country where the cab drivers aim for the traffic cops. Only country where my eyes watered after stepping out of the airport from the pollution. The only country where I could conceivably have the dubious privilege of witnessing a crowd of a few hundred people congregated to watch a couple of dogs going at it in the street.

Marketgoer #1: "Train!"
Marketgoer #2: "Game off!"
Train passes.
Marketgoer #1: "Game on!"

O, da!
this is Romanian for "Oh, yeah!". What can I say? this could be a comedy scenario for someone who's not used to this kind of activity, but very real for someone who's seen it live. I think it's got loads of fun in it. ;)

to Ramses Abasiri...

you may have been to Thailand for a vacation or whatever but I don't think you took the experience to heart.

Thailand is a place where the people are willing to give up their dinners just to feed you. This is a place where everyone smiles just to make someone else day a little better. This is a place where respect for the king is lucid in everyday activity.

You talk of pollution, of bad drivers, of dog fighting when those issues are occuring right at home, where ever your home is. You talk as if you've been everywhere and seen everything.

You should watch your opinions because sometimes you just come out looking like a complete asshole.

Probability exisits, that the Railway line got laid through the market, without proper rehabilitation strategy and property acquisition.

yea, it happens. I live in a country neighboring Thailand.

I can't remember the name of the market but, once it was shown on a local TV program in Kuala Lumpur and its absolutely awesome.
Believe it or not, the traders actually knows the time table of the train so that they can easily pack their stuff and let the train pass by before they continue their daily routine.
