The Visual Dictionary is a collaborative project to collect as many photographs of words as possible. People can send images of words, whether they be signage, advertising, graffiti, packaging, menus, written in the sky, tatoos, or made of grass - if its a single word, it's accepted.
The Visual Dictionary is a concept by Matthew Knight. The project started in February 2006, and since then, over 5,000 images of over 3,000 words have been gathered.
