I just wanted to let you know that, although the dominant tone of today's posts doesn't represent it, I'm absolutely shocked and horrified about the news coming from Virginia Tech.
My thoughts are with the families who lost someone and with those who are recovering from their injuries.
CNN developing story.

Yes, it is a very tragic incident. It could happen any where at any university around the world.
I live in Alexandria, VA and yes, it has tragically affected all of us. The sad part is that it could take days or weeks, before any of us could discover that one of the victims we may know or indirectly know. Our hope is that the answer is no, but in time, we will get an answer.
On another topic, if the mummified "fairy" looking thing is for real, I believe it 100%. I had an experience a year ago around 2:00 a.m., it was misty (drizzly and foggy) and I was up looking in my backyard. I didn't have my glasses on, but I saw a light that was size of a half-dollar coin and i thought, "what the heck is that?" it seemed as it was sitting still and then in a flash, it flew towards me at the window and for a split second, it seemed as if it looked at me and then in a flash it flew behind the house and i tried to run to the other window to see what it was and it had flown towards the back of the house of my neighbor and it set off their motion light. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't a firefly, it was too big to be one and the way it flew was as fast as lightning. I'm a very skeptical person and i always try to come up with a scientific answer to anything that seems strange and come up with a logical answer. But in this case, i don't have one. The first thing that came to mind, is that it was a fairy. Silly as it may sound, but there are a lot of things created in this world that are yet to be discovered and explored and mankind will never get to all of it before we become extinct! But that's how mysterious so many of the creatures, that not only live in land, but especially in H20.
