Game cakes are cakes decorated with video game themes. Michael Fahey, a writer for Kotaku (a blog which focuses on video and computer games, and part of Gawker Media), was slowly being driven insane by the influx of cake-related tips he received via email every day.
In the course of a month it wasn't odd to receive upwards of 30 cake submissions. That's why he started Game Cakes.
